As a person who identifies herself with journalism, luckily, I ended up with an internship at University of Toronto News. Needless to say, I am amazed by the work that they are doing. However, I have to admit that I wasn’t aware of the scope of the network before. Hence, I wanted to remind the others, who like myself have been neglecting this network, to check out the amazing stories that the team puts together. It might be a bit late to read about the back to school surviving tips right now, but you can always benefit from them. Or maybe after reading this, you will be checking the University of Toronto News to follow-up their other tips on student life. Not only the general approach to the student life across the campuses, but also you can find huge achievements of students, such as the Information Technology students who received a $10,000 award from RBC for designing an artificial intelligence (AI) program for e-transfers. The crazy line-ups for coffee and food, the huge crowds in front of the classrooms… They all have one explanation which you can find at UofT News website. Apparently University of Toronto Mississauga accepted 10 percent more first year students (meaning, 600 more students) this year due to the expansion of the campus. I know everyone is talking about the new cannabis law which will be in effect on October 17th. But do we know how it will affect our campus life?
