2016-2017 2015-2016 Heritage Mississauga, also known as the Mississauga Heritage Foundation, provides the community with a comprehensive Heritage Resource Centre. The Centre offers a wide array of services to the community including research assistance, outreach presentations and events, publications, heritage and art exhibits and tours, and advocacy projects. |

2016-2017 2015-2016 Heritage Toronto is a charitable arms-length agency of the City of Toronto established in 1949 to promote a greater appreciation for the city’s rich architectural, cultural, archaeological and natural heritage. Through partnerships with local community groups and volunteers, Heritage Toronto provides citywide programs and services. Their programming includes neighbourhood tours, the Heritage Toronto Awards and William Kilbourn Memorial Lecture, and a heritage Plaques and Markers program. |

Suzy Lake, Artist 2016-2017 Suzy Lake is a Toronto-based artist known for her use of media and performance arts, including photography and videography. She is known to have explored topics including, but not limited to, gender, beauty, aging, and identity. Most recently, Lake received that 2016 Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts. |

Toronto Ward Museum 2016-2017 The Ward (officially "St. John's Ward) is the downtown area of Toronto in which many early immigrant communities originally settled. Despite limited physical traces of the migration patterns that detail The Ward's history, The Ward Museum aims to serve the Greater Toronto Area with a contextual starting point in the exploration of these histories. The Ward Museum encourages an inclusive and interactive environment and inspires critical reflection and conversation on the topics of citizenship and migration. |

University of Toronto | Communications 2018-2019 Cansu Adyemir 2017-2018 2016-2017 The University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) is the second largest of the U of T campuses in terms of enrollment. The campus was originally founded as Erindale College in 1965. In 2017, the UTM campus will be celebrating its 50th anniversary as part of the University of Toronto. The history intern placed with the Communications office will assist with initiatives relating to this historic event. |
