My MA thesis research examines how Canada’s Caregiver Program (formerly known as the Live-in Caregiver Program) affects the health of immigrant Filipina caregivers in the Greater Toronto Area. My research explores social networks, migration and employment experiences, perceived impacts of work conditions associated with the (Live-in) Caregiver Program on health, access to health care services, and changes in perceived health since migration among Filipina caregivers living-in and living-out(side) their places of employment.
