5 Reasons Why the Canadian Arab Institute has my Vote for the Best Non-Partisan Campaign this year
For those of us who are new to the responsibilities of living in a democratic state - whether you  are a new citizen (congratulations!), or a first time voter (like myself) - the Canadian Arab Institute (CAI) has created a campaign known as the Your Voice CAN Campaign to educate and encourage those of us who may allow our overwhelming sense of confusion and ignorance on social and political issues to influence our reluctance to participate as voters. It is this genuine goal to promote public participation and voter awareness within Canadian society that has made Your Voice such a valuable campaign.

With that said, find out the 5 reasons why the Your Voice Campaign has my vote for the best non-partisan campaign in the 2015 Canadian Federal Elections:

1. Your Voice presents an Unbiased Perspective: As a "non-partisan campaign" you would expect nothing less. To be "non-partisan" means to refrain from direct relations to any political party or organization. A non-partisan campaign's independent and neutral stance during Election Season allows the public to study the different campaigns and campaign leaders without the biases commonly attached to mediums in favor or even opposed to them. An unbiased perspective provides clarity - and Your Voice provides an unbiased perspective!

2. Your Voice is Informative and Educational: That being said, Your Voice is a campaign which has done its research and has organized its information in a way that would be most accessible and convenient to us! The Your Voice team has organized an "Info-Bite Series," which identifies foundational facts about the Canadian Federal and Provincial governments, and need-to-know information regarding how to vote and participate in this year's elections.

3. Your Voice is Interactive: Rather than just informing you on how to get involved in this year's elections, Your Voice has offered social and online events to provide you with the opportunity to get involved before the polls have even opened! Youth Forums and Webinars (aka information seminars hosted online) have been conducted to provide voters the opportunity to ask questions and gain greater detailed information on the 2015 Elections.

4. Your Voice has an Inclusive Goal: The purpose of Your Voice and their initiative to create social and interactive events is to unite Canadians, regardless of their eligibility to vote or who they are voting for. There are ways to get involved with the elections even if you are ineligible to vote - Your Voice provides opportunities to those individuals to ensure that they feel included in Canada's democratic process. The Your Voice campaign also emphasizes unity and community building based on voter and election participation - as opposed to segregation based on the party you chose to be affiliated with.

5. Your Voice promotes the Practice of Democracy: Being an active member of a democratic society may be a new experience for many Canadians - it may be intimidating and confusing. The Your Voice campaign makes democratic participation comprehendible and even desirable by reminding Canadians of the joys and pleasures of belonging to a democratic society.

So what are you waiting for? Today is Election Day and the final day to LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD! It isn't too late to get involved and get informed! Quickly visit the Your Voice CAN website to see for yourself why Your Voice is the best non-partisan campaign this year and don't forget to #YALLAVOTE!
