Christopher Eaton (chris.eaton@utoronto.ca) is an associate professor, teaching stream at the University of Toronto Mississauga's Institute for the Study of University Pedagogy. His research investigates how people learn to embed generative AI in their literate practices, and he has an interest on how small language models can influence learning. He curates Navigating AI Literacy, an Open Educational Resource designed to synthesize important ideas from research on generative AI, literacies, and writing.

Sarah Seeley (sarah.seeley@utoronto.ca) is an associate professor in the teaching stream at the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Institute for the Study of University Pedagogy. Her research interests include writing pedagogies, generative AI, and academic labour practices. With Michael Cournoyea, of the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto, she researches the social impacts of LLMs in higher education in Canada and the United States.

Erin Vearncombe (erin.vearncombe@utoronto.ca) is an assistant professor in the teaching stream at the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Institute for the Study of University Pedagogy. She is a keynote speaker at the 2026 joint Canadian Association for the Study of Discourse and Writing and RhetCanada conference, addressing “Pedagogies of Writing and the Relational Challenge of Generative AI.” Her research interests include evaluative judgement, generative AI, and the changing landscape of academic knowledge production.
