My research interest and teaching include topics at the spatial data science, geographic information system (GIS), spatial database, data structure, and the interception of computer science and GIS. My pedagogical research focuses on interdisciplinary learning and science of learning. I have investigated the use of storytelling lecture trailers to engage online students, adopted reflection assignments to help students develop critical thinking skills, and used learning analytics to support students at risks.
